The elixir is a blend of organic Jojoba Oil, organic virgin Rosehip Oil, olive-derived Squalane, Vitamin E and our small batch Lavender essential oil, distilled on the farm. Squalane is the plant-derived version of Squalene, a constituent of the skin’s natural moisture barrier. It is a smoothing emollient that keeps skin hydrated, protects it from environmental stressors like pollution and sun damage, and has antioxidant properties. Lavender essential oil has a long history of therapeutic and cosmetic use, and the oil has disinfectant, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and calming properties. It became famous for its skin healing properties in the early 1900s, when French chemist René-Maurice Gattefossé discovered its incredible healing effects on burns.
