• Lavender is grown commercially for essential oil which can be extracted from its flowers, leaves and stems. Our essential oil is obtained through a steam distillation process on the farm.

ESSENTIAL OIL

The oil is used as a disinfectant, an antiseptic, an anti-inflammatory and for aromatherapy.

  • An infusion of Lavender is claimed to soothe and heal insect bites, sunburn and small cuts, burns and inflammatory conditions and even acne.

  • Lavender Essential Oil is said to soothe headaches, migraines and motion sickness when applied to the temples. It is frequently used as a natural sleep aid and to promote relaxation.

  • Lavender oils have also been used for internal medical conditions, among others indigestion and heartburn.

LAVENDER FLORAL WATER

  • Floral Water (also known as Hydrosol) spray is a natural air freshener, used on linens and gentle surface cleaner.

DRIED LAVENDER FLOWERS

  • Dried lavender buds are a fragrant herbal filler for sachets - used to freshen linens, closets and drawers while keeping pests at bay.

  • Dried lavender flowers are popular for use as decoration, gifts or as confetti for tossing over newlyweds at weddings.

  • Culinary : Lavender has a floral, slightly sweet and elegant flavor which can be added to sweet and savory food alike especially desserts, cheeses, baked goods and confectionery. The dried flowers are most commonly used in cooking, though it also makes for a wonderful simple syrup.
