BIOGRAPHY

Courtney Fox of The Fox & The Ivy Photography is a portrait photographer known for her storybook approach to atmospheric conceptual imagery. Inspired by archetypal heroines, classic mythology, and lore, her work blends emotion and movement with a painterly aesthetic to create evocative photographs that feel timeless, romantic, and deeply personal.

Her signature vision has been sought out by brands ranging from Adobe and Universal Music Group, to romantic fashion and lifestyle brands such as Son de Flor, Linennaive, American Duchess, and French Meadows Corsetry. Through her imagery, Courtney seeks to create photographs that feel cinematic, nostalgic, and reminiscent of treasured heirlooms from another era designed to be cherished and to adorn walls.

  • We suggest;

    We encourage guests to dress in whatever makes them feel most magical — whether that is something simple, elegant, fashionable, or romantic and inspired by storybook princes and princesses of yesteryear. Flowing dresses and natural textures photograph beautifully in the landscape.

    We recommend avoiding bright logos, graphic text, or neon colors, and instead choosing natural tones that harmonize with the fields.

    For those wishing to lean further into the fairytale spirit, a small collection of costume-inspired wardrobe pieces — including dresses, blouses, skirts, capes, and accessories — will be available to borrow for an additional $20 rental fee.

  • Photo groups are limited to 5 persons at a time. Please communicate with us in advance if your photo group is larger.

    Please be respectful of our plants, pets, gardens, and our neighbors. You may not clip (without permission), move or modify our lavender or other flowers. Please do not place anything on top of plants.

  • We are at the mercy of Mother Nature, as she determines when various cultivars begin to bloom and how long those blooms will last. Our English cultivars are typically the first to start blooming in early June, followed by our French cultivars in late June/early July. The peak bloom is typically the third and fourth weeks of June, lasting into the first two weeks of July, with variations from season to season. Check our Bloom Schedule and Instagram or Facebook for Lavender Field Status updates in season.

  • Unfortunately, weather in our valley is also unpredictable. In the case of intermittent or light rain we will move the shoot into one of our historic spaces.

  • As we are limiting the number of guests who may visit the farm on any day, we regret that the reservation fee is non-refundable. Please check the date and time carefully when purchasing.

You will receive a confirmation email upon reservation and the day before with details for your visit.
